New version of course on Seismic design of industrial facilities

The 2nd version of the online course on Seismic design of industrial facilities started last April. A total of 30 engineers are participating and the instructors are engineers Carlos Pena (M.Eng, Ph.D. ©), Miguel Medalla (M.Eng, Ph.D. ©), Cristian Urzua (M.Sc.), Ramon Montecinos, and Rodrigo Astroza (M.Sc., Ph.D.). In this course, the following topics are discussed in detail:

  1. Seismic design and analysis of industrial facilities
  2. Advanced steel design
  3. Industrial structures project
  4. Seismic design of piers and wharves
  5. Special strcutures (silos and tanks)
  6. Retrofit and seismic review
